So I saw trailers and preorders for the Nanoha PSP game in Japan, and the second I got back in the States I preordered it from NCSX. Hell, I preordered the limited edition just because I could.
So today, UPS guy leaves me a package:
It’s the game! The limited edition also has a really long name: Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A’s Portable : The Battle of Aces Lyrical Box.
Here’s the back:
As you can see, the Lyrical Box comes with an (exclusive?) Figma with school uniform ver. Nanoha.
As the LE (and game?) is undoubtedly geared toward otakus, it also comes with plenty of other awesome Nanoha schwag.
My favorite’s probably this screen cleaner with Nanoha and Fate duking it out with a fighting game GUI.
Here’s a very pink PSP pouch with everyone’s favorite yuri couple.
Also comes with a very NanoFate sticker set. Sharp-eyed viewers will note that the small upper-left sticker is of Fate washing Nanoha’s back. Hell yeah.
Also comes with a small artbook. Bigger than BlazBlue limited edition artbook (which btw has a great cover), but smaller than an actual artbook.
Comes with a Nanoha Figma which I think is exclusive to this LE.
Also has a NanoFate towel which is very pink. I’m honestly not sure what I’m going to do with this.
Lastly, there are these 3 posters of the 3 main girls which make up 1 picture. Apparently, these posters are actually meant for a shower or bath, you spray them with water and they’ll adhere to a surface.
I’m going to read the instructions a bit more carefully before trying it out.
The box also came with what I think is a PSN download card. It tells me that you can use the card to download a “Digital Nanoha” … thingy… on PSN.
So enough about the goodies, what about the game?
I really liked how the instruction manual was in the form of the Yami no Sho.
So I booted up the game… yay! It works with my CFW! Worried there for a bit.
The opening really reminds me of the opening of some visual novel. Why?
1. Snow falling effect
2. Sepia effect in the beginning
3. Beginning is a piano solo with words flashing across the screen
3. Individual character intros
4. Flashing of random event CGs
Also, Nana Mizuki songs are always good.
Game itself? Looks promising so far. Started up Nanoha’s campaign and saw this:
Aw yeah, holding hands.
thanks for introduce the game 🙂
do you know whether i can get this game in germany??
please give me an answer
thx 🙂
In Germany…? Not really, sorry.
I got it online via NCSX, but they seem to be sold out. Play-asia is another online store that sells import games, but they’re also sold out. But I think these online stores would ship to Germany.
Oh! The sequel to the game is going to come out soon, you probably can preorder the sequel at either of those shops or at amiami (I know I will :3)
shame!! but thanks for the tips 🙂
Oh, I just thought of something, you might want to check ebay or similar sites. Many sellers that ship from HK or Japan also ship to the EU.
thank you 🙂
but can i get this game in great britain ( london )??
